The Bundeswehr guarantees the security, sovereignty and external action of the Federal Republic of Germany. Medical specialist (m/w/d) assist physicians in the examination, treatment, care and advice of patients. They weigh and measure the patients, apply associations, prepare syringes or take blood for laboratory tests. In examinations and treatments as well as in minor interventions by doctors, they assist them, use and maintain medical instruments and devices and carry out laboratory work. They also organize the course of practice, receive the patients, document treatment procedures for the files.

In the selection of candidates, emphasis is placed on the professional, personal and characteristic suitability. In addition to interest and suitability for the chosen profession, you should bring learning willingness, commitment and concentration. Team spirit, reliability and sense of responsibility are also a prerequisite for trusting cooperation. Applications for women are expressly requested. Women are preferably taken into account in areas where they are underrepresented in the same suitability, competence and professional performance, provided that there are no overriding reasons in the person of a competitor. The application of disabled people is expressly desired. Disabled people and similar persons are preferably taken into account with the same suitability. They only require a minimum of physical fitness. Individual impediment-specific restrictions prevent a preferred consideration only in the case of absolutely necessary skill patterns for the service item to be occupied. Vocational training is also possible in parttime. After vocational training, the takeover into a working relationship, civil servants or soldiers' relationship will be pursued with appropriate performance. The vocational school is located in Erfurt.
