This is parttime employment of 75% of regular weekly working hours.

A full-time employment is possible if, in addition to musical activity (75 %), additional activities in the field of investigation assistance (25 %) are provided.

The task profile:

• · musical activity at the instrument trombone in the Big Band of the Saarland Police (75 % of regular weekly working hours)
• · Activity in the determination assistance (25 % of the regular weekly working time in case of expression of interest at a full-time job) in the form of a form-based process work, e.g.:
• Handicrafts in the field of simple, local crime (including the establishment of files of simply stored criminal matters or in orderly offences, dispatch of hearings, processing of UJs procedures)
• Input and verification in police information systems
• Document collection

Your qualification:

Required knowledge:

• completed music studies (probably in the field of jazz and popular music), but at least proof of the passed recording examination at a music college

In addition:

• technical, tonal and mental ability to cope with solo passages
• Ability to improvise
• Experiences, stylistic knowledge as a trombonist (m/w/d) in a big band
• strong team skills and commitment and responsibility
• readiness for flexible working hours also on weekends

For the purposes of the investigation assistance:

• fast conception, reliability and communication skills
• strong sense of duty and responsibility
• Knowledge with the MS Office package
• readiness to incorporate into police-specific software
• Standing for continuous training and qualification

The Big Band of the Saarland Police is a modern jazz orchestra based in the capital of Saarbrücken. The ensemble is an important part of the public work of the Saarland police. In various concert formats and representative performances, it offers the entire range of Big Band music. In a concert series with high-profile guest soloists (m/w/d), the musicians (m/w/d) show their own artistic profile. As the only professional big band in the large region, the ensemble is a fixed size in the cultural offering.

Remuneration:

The grouping is carried out in accordance with the collective agreement for the public service of the countries (TV-L) - in the event of the tariff conditions and subject to the approval of the Staff Commission to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Building and Sport - probably in accordance with Debate Group 9a of Part I of Appendix A to the TV-L.
