Senior PostgreSQL DBA in the Application Operations Department (m/f/d)

You design and evaluate database architectures and develop them in a targeted way – with a clear focus on scaling, client separation and high availability in a SaaS model. You install, configure and operate PostgreSQL database systems in productive environments. You set up replication and high availability solutions, operate them and maintain them. You analyze and optimize the performance, stability and resource use of productive, business-critical PostgreSQL systems. You design, implement backup, restore and disaster recovery strategies and review them regularly. You plan and perform maintenance, updates and version changes. You support and advise on database migrations to PostgreSQL and also take over technical project management tasks. You take over monitoring and sound fault analyses of database-related disturbances in the 2nd‐/3rd level support. You create and maintain operational, architectural and security documentation.

Including IT training (University, FH, Training) with multi-year professional experience in the database environment. Very good and practical knowledge of the PostgreSQL administration, in particular in the independent operation of larger productive environments including performance tuning and capacity planning. Found experience in the design and operation of highly available PostgreSQL architectures. Safe handling of backup, recovery and disaster recovery concepts. Knowledge of Linux server environments as well as experience in automation of operating tasks (e.g. Bash, Ansible). Experience with security and access concepts (rolling, permissions, Row-Level-Security, data protection). Structured, responsible operation and experience in the operation of business-critical database systems with high availability requirements.
