The focus here is on the treatment of complex data from applications in engineering, in particular from numerical simulations. We use mathematics, machine learning as well as engineering knowledge and develop robust, scalable and domain-adapted data analysis concepts and methods. You work at the interface between Numerical Simulation and Machine Learning in national and international research and development projects around themes: Virtual product development based on CAE Multi-modal AI models for the treatment of CAE data Your tasks include: Development of Methods of Machine Learning Conception, planning and implementation of tailor-made data analysis solutions Conception, planning and implementation of customized software solutions for virtual data-driven product development Integration and evaluation of algorithms in real applications Application-oriented interpretation and analysis of CAE data Active participation in technology transfer in companies

A successfully completed academic degree (Diplom / Master) in mathematics, computer science or a comparable subject or equivalent skills and knowledge Very good knowledge of software development Very good programming skills in C, C++ or Python Good knowledge of German and English in word and writing Individual initiative, team spirit and good communication skills High commitment and success to work on new issues Ideally, you have academic and/or practical experience in one or more of the following areas: Knowledge of data analysis, machine learning or statistics Experience in handling software technologies, e.g. databases or CI/CD Knowledge in the field of numerical algorithms and simulation Implementation of operational software products Knowledge of Web Technologies
