Number: MER0003PNM In the Group Research & Development (R&D) of Mercedes Benz Cars, you shape the automotive generation of the future and work on the latest innovations. In the RD/KII department (body interior systems & project control) we are responsible for the development of future interior systems and thus contribute significantly to the vehicle DNA. Our team steering wheel, driver airbag and roof control unit is responsible for the pre- and series development of future steering and roof control unit systems. The Steer-by-Wire technology and automated driving create completely new possibilities for the steering wheel of the future. We are looking for you as a support for our steering wheel team. With us you work in an extremely exciting and complex environment with a variety of disciplines such as e.g. design, safety, electrical/electronics, ergonomics, UI/UX, steering/driving functions, automated driving, AMG as well as complete vehicle and series project organization. These challenges include: Introduction to previous work Research state of technology and benchmarking worldwide Construction and Testing of Steering Functional Patterns (Additive Manufacturing-/3D Printing Technology, EE) Working with the improvement of new steering wheel patterns with regard to usability/UI/HMI and ergonomics Planning, preparation and implementation of driving tests Operation and technical optimizations on a seat box/“Gaming-Simulator”: Mechanical and electrical-electronic optimization of functions Concept assessments with the expert group Preparation, implementation of customer studies
