As an empathic, motivating and forward-looking leader for the management of the team “IT-security identifier” (Referat S 27). You set content impulses and design and coordinate the further development of the BSI's IT security label. You play a central, leading role in the European and global coordination of IT security signs (Labels) and develop new procedures for the self-explaining of cyber security for companies. You promote an inspiring and supportive culture as leadership. This allows team members to develop, use their talents as best as possible and successfully master changes. You represent the positions of the BSI towards ministries, representatives of the economy, associations and government representatives nationally and internationally.

The S department is committed to standardizing IT security in all relevant standardization bodies worldwide. Furthermore, the implementation of the EU Cyber Resilience Act and other European cybersecurity laws is the core task of the department. In addition, the department is responsible for securing the 5G/6G mobile networks in Germany. The BSI is a national cyber security certification body and in this context also offers the IT security identifier. As a leader of up to nine employees, your focus is on providing efficient procedures for granting the IT security identifier and introducing new procedures for a self-explaint on cyber security. You will work with your team across areas and bring the expertise of internal stakeholders together with the relevant international and national stakeholders. THE KLEINGEDRUCKTE (but not less important points of your portfolio): You are responsible for an efficient, transitory process for the issue of IT security signs in the BSI and are driving forward its continuous improvement. You analyse the impact of the Cyber Resilience Act on the perception of the role of the license plate in legal and actual terms and develop proposals for the legally compliant further development of the BSI offers. As part of the implementation of the NIS-2 Directive in the BSI Act, you will develop and establish procedures for the self-explaining of cyber security for companies. This is what we can do with you: You understand themselves as a leader who has fun to inspire and promote a team with a modern leadership culture. A scientific university degree (uni-diplom/master) in a legal or administrative field or a career qualification for the higher non-technical administration service. Alternatively, you have a mathematical, scientific or (information-)technical university degree in conjunction with at least three years of experience in a public authority. In addition, you have at least three years of cyber security experience and can demonstrate them through practical experience. You have knowledge of marketing services to stakeholders in the economy and can demonstrate them through practical experience. You have very good German (min. C1) and very good English (min. C1) language skills in word and writing and have practical experience in conducting discussions and negotiations, also in English. You bring the willingness to participate in training and to take over planned one- or more-day missions – taking into account the compatibility of family and profession. Business trips are expected to arrive once a quarter.
