Internal auditor (m/f/d)

Support for internal auditing in Bochum and, if necessary, at other locations, including visibility, testing, validation and tracking. Persecuting and supporting the elimination of audit findings, control weaknesses, process gaps and relevant SOX/ICFR problems. Cooperation with the location management and the process managers to improve the quality of the measures, self-responsibility, punctuality and proof of completion. Executions to confirm that measures have been implemented and work effectively. Support in strengthening process discipline at the site, internal controls and key documentation standards. Identification of control gaps, process inefficiencies, recurring problems and areas with increased operational or financial risk. Support in the testing and improvement of SOX/ICFR relevant controls where necessary. On-site monitoring and constructive under-request of overdue, risky or sensitive measures. Support in Cause Analysis in Control Failure or Process Disorders. Guided inspection documents, action tracking lists and documents. Support in creating clear reports for the Group's internal audit and management. With the further development of the Bochum site support for ad hoc audits, targeted checks and the elimination of control defects at other sites of the group. Support for more comprehensive audits, investigations and special orders as required. Promoting awareness of control mechanisms, accountability and good governance practices. Building effective industrial relations while maintaining independence and objectivity as part of the internal revision of the 3rd line.

Higher education in audit, finance, accounting, business management, risk management or a similar subject or equivalent professional experience A professional qualification in the fields of auditing, accounting, risk management or controlling is desirable Further training in the fields of internal auditing, controlling or compliance would be advantageous Liquid knowledge of German and English in word and writing Experience in the fields of internal auditing, external auditing, internal controls, compliance, finance or process security, as well as work in manufacturing, in the industrial field, in engineering or in similar operating environments is expressly preferred Examination of controls, detection of process weaknesses and validation of corrective actions Cooperation with operational stakeholders to improve process execution and close control gaps in environments that require restructuring, corrective measures or control improvements would be of great advantage Experience with ERP-based process environments would be beneficial, as well as knowledge about GRC tools such as auditboard, Navex, TeamMate, etc. Experience in multilingual and cross-functional environments would be advantageous Experience with internal controls, including SOX or ICFR environments, would be beneficial
