Head of Construction and Operations Power High Voltage (m/f/d)

The TEN Thüringer Energienetz GmbH & Co. KG is the largest distribution network operator in Thuringia and, as part of the TEAG Group, ensures a safe, efficient and sustainable supply of electricity and gas. The TEN operates in Thuringia a 110-kV line network with an extension of approx. 3000 Trassenkilometers and 148 110 kV transformers, of which 91 own. In addition to the permanent safe operation and the maintenance, maintenance and repair work necessary for this purpose, the climate policy objectives of the energy transition as well as the normative and legal requirements for ensuring the physical safety of the power supply systems require a significant changeover and expansion of the 110 kV line network and the 110 kV converters. In addition, the TENs operate and establish a non-public 450Mhz LTE radio network and optical fiber network for the purpose of system control, network protection and communication. We are looking for an experienced management personality with a strong understanding of complex technical systems, social competence and a passion for electricity networks as a strategic and operational overall responsibility for the construction and operation of electricity.

Your duties As Head of Construction and Operation Power High Voltage (m/w/d) you have the overall responsibility for the construction and operation of our 110-kV high voltage network and the 450Mhz mobile radio network. You run seven teams with the tasks:

Demand-oriented expansion of the 110-kV power grid and the 110-kV powertrains extend across the globe, including the interfaces to the upstream maximum voltage network according to the current network expansion plan of the Thüringer energy networks Renewal, conversion and repair of the 110-kV power grid and the 110-kV power plants across the globe, including the interfaces to the upstream maximum voltage network Operation of the 110-kV power grid and the 110-kV power stations Planning, approval and coordination of all necessary partners for all necessary construction measures in the 110 kV power supply network Communication with citizens, authorities, local authorities and decision-makers to approve the project and to obtain the necessary acceptance for construction measures in the 110-KV power supply network Implementation of physical safety requirements of non-occupied facilities and equipment in the 110-kV power supply network Planning and construction of customer-owned 110-kV transformers Budget responsibility for the budget provided including the controlling over all projects Drive innovation, standardisation for the further development of new technologies in the 110-kV power supply network in close cooperation with the areas of network automation and system management Establishment, extension and operation of the 450Mhz-LTE mobile radio network and the optical waveguide networks in close cooperation with the other departments of the TENs and the Thüringer Netkom Takeover of the “Technical Leadership Current” function of the TENs Your challenges to leadership and cooperation Professional, strategic and disciplined leadership of seven teams Takes responsibility for building and operating processes in the area of responsibility Continuing the development of a closeable and centralised leadership culture Development of a powerful leadership structure with clear responsibilities Close cooperation in the TEAG Group, with external partners and service providers Representation of the company in specialised bodies and to authorities

Complete study of electrical engineering, energy engineering, doctoral studies or comparable Multiannual management experience in grid construction, grid operation, energy plant construction or in a comparable environment Knowledge of high-voltage, medium-voltage and low-voltage networks Understanding regulatory frameworks and their operational implementation Experience in handling KRITIS requirements and requirements for physical safety Strategic thinking, decision-making and strong leadership skills High loadability in the environment of critical infrastructures
