You will support our research and teaching in the field of Computer Science by establishing an independent research group focusing on research topics related to Scalable Data Processing Systems. Possible areas of interest are: NoSQL Database Database Management and Systems Data Warehousing and Mining Cloud Computing and Big Data Technologies Remote Access and Edge Computing Data-Driven Software Systems and Analytics Distributed and Parallel Databases Information Systems, e.g., Learning Management Systems (LMS) Spatial-Temporal Data Management, e.g., Geo-Information-Systems (GIS) Machine Learning for Database Optimization and Query Processing The successful candidate is expected to support teaching in Computer Science at the Bachelor and Master level (for example Database Management Systems, Advanced Database Systems, Data Warehousing and Big Data Technologies, Cloud Computing Fundamentals); as well as develop and implement innovative, educational sound approaches to online, hybrid and in-person teaching and learning; advise students on their studies; and supervised Bachelor, Master-s and PhD theses and research projects.
