As an employee of the product approval team, you will accompany our product development throughout the product lifecycle and ensure that our products such as CNC controllers and Drive Controllers meet the requirements of the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and Machine Regulation. You design and accompany “Secure by Design” and “Secure by Default” strategies in development processes for digital products. You judge the security architecture and security concepts for our products in compliance with the applicable standards such as IEC 61800-5-2, IEC 62443-x. You plan, create and document FMEA, risk assessments, threat analyses and performance levels (PLr) calculations for safety-relevant machine functions and, where appropriate, Penetration tests and support the development teams to process the results. In close cooperation with the development, you coordinate the vulnerability management incl. Assessment, prioritisation and tracking of identified vulnerabilities. You create the associated certification documentation and coordinate the certification process by an external certification body.
You have a successfully completed degree in the field of electrical engineering, systems engineering, computer science, industrial engineering or a comparable qualification with a focus on safety and security. You have a well-founded knowledge of CE conformity processes, the licensing procedure of licensing authorities and experience in common standards, Directives and Regulations (e.g. Machine Regulation, CRA, IEC 62443-x, IEC 61508, ISO 13849, IEC 61800-x) and a deep understanding of how standards translate the requirements into technical practice. You have relevant professional experience in machine safety, functional safety, embedded security or IoT product safety. You have a good understanding of embedded systems and common industrial communication interfaces in the CNC control and drive controller industry. You have knowledge in the field of risk management and risk risk analysis according to EN ISO 12100 (required). You have knowledge of German and English in word and writing.
