Referent Fundraising (w/m/d)

We Malteser help people worldwide who are affected by poverty, hunger, crises and catastrophes and support them without respect for origin, religion or political conviction in emergency situations. In our numerous national and international projects, we help countless needy in the areas of disaster relief, development cooperation, nutrition, hygiene, health and disaster protection, as well as old age, loneliness, etc. More than one million supporters help us to finance our projects through grants. We are also a sought-after partner of state bodies in the implementation of large relief projects and are supported by more than 53,000 employees of our own general and volunteers. The Department of Support Service of the Malteser is responsible for the planning and implementation of all our measures to obtain new and binding existing supporters in Germany. Our fundraising team consists of motivated and committed professionals and covers all facets of most modern fundraising. Our main task is to raise interest in our various social projects in Germany and abroad and to inspire them to support us in the long term. For the Fundraising department in the Malteser Centrale in Cologne, we are looking for a part-time (30h/week) at the next possible time Referent Fundraising (w/m/d)

Coordination and settlement of requests for sociallotteries Advising and supporting colleagues in the Malteser Association in the application to large social lotteries Pre-examination of all application documents, support and follow-up of applications until submission Date and deadline management for the entire application process, including the creation and timely submission of evidence of use Coordination with external auditors to collect the required test reports Ensuring compliance with the funding guidelines of the respective lottery programs Care of start donations Individual and empathic support of event organizers in the context of conflict or jubilee donations Advice on donation processing and project selection as well as clarification of organizational questions in advance Communication with burial companies, grief houses and jubilars on the coordination of donations. Documentation and preparation: Creation of personalized gratitude letter to event organizers Care and management of data in the fundraising database Sextant for the integration of newly gained donors into the donor pool Participation in the further development of the field of start donation and interface to further fundraising measures

Experience in applying for funding institutions or similar tasks in third-party funding management Very good communication skills and a safe occurrence in direct contact with donors and partners Organisational skills, time-limit awareness and careful documentation knowledge in handling fundraising databases of advantage, safe handling of MS Office Empathy and fingertip feeling in dealing with sensitive occasions
