You carry out a number of planned preventive maintenance measures on devices to ensure their safe operation. In addition, as a maintenance engineer, you are looking for troubles and failures. You investigate the causes, find solutions as soon as possible and apply them. You also make suggestions for long-term improvements. In cooperation with senior colleagues, you perform daily maintenance tasks and communicate with service providers if you need external expertise. You work in rotating layers so that we can support our locations around the clock and ensure that Amazon can continue to deliver at the pace we are known for. About the team The logistics department at Amazon (AMZL) is responsible for the “Last-Mile logistics” – i.e. the delivery of our packages in partnership with third parties. We think creatively and implement initiatives for continuous improvement to deliver millions of physical products to our customers. Our goal is to make the delivery experience for our customers as smooth as possible and to introduce global delivery solutions for our latest offers, including Amazon Fresh, Prime Now and Amazon restaurants. These activities are carried out by two groups of employees. Our “internal” employees prepare millions of products for shipping to our delivery teams. Our team is human-oriented and helpful. This is particularly important because many of our employees work in night shifts. Our focus is mainly on operating. Most of our locations work around the clock. During the course, our “outside service” employees work with Amazon Flex – a contractor network for delivery. Every year we set new standards in terms of customer experience and offer new, innovative delivery services. We support a fleet of innovative vehicles (including e-vehicles) and state-of-the-art technology.

Complete technical training recognised by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK) or Chamber of Crafts (HWK). Alternatively, proof of a successfully completed university degree in the engineering field (machine engineering / electrical engineering or art related) of a German university or recognized foreign university degrees (BA, B. Sc., MA, M. Sc., Dipl.-Ing.)
