You'll get our UAVs on track As a guidance, navigation & control engineer, you develop the flight control of our unmanned systems end-to-end – from the concept to simulation and autopilot integration to flight testing. The autopilot and the software on board are the heart of our development, and our GNC team takes over the technical leadership in many drone projects, both internally and with our cooperation partners. You can do that You develop flight controllers for different UAV platforms end-to-end – from concept to simulation and prototypical implementation to autopilot integration and flight testing. You unleash, model and optimise control and navigation algorithms as well as functions of mission control. You'll start mathematical models for flight mechanics, system dynamics and aerodynamic effects and evaluierst Control Laws in simulations with MATLAB/Simulink. You specify, plan and conduct flight control tests – from SIL and HIL to ground tests to flight tests. You analyze the controller performance based on real flight data, document it and improve it continuously. You work closely with aerodynamics, flight mechanics, embedded hardware and software, as well as test and integration and develop our autopilot stack. You research current scientific approaches to modern flight control methods and transfer them to our systems. That's what you bring Complete studies, preferably in aerospace technology, control technology or a comparable field of expertise. Multiannual professional experience in unmanned systems. Practical experience with PX4, ArduPilot or comparable flight control frameworks – you have adapted, expanded or implemented controllers and understand the architecture behind them. Knowledge of control technology, flight mechanics and navigation algorithms as well as safe handling of MATLAB/Simulink. Experience in the preparation and execution of flight tests, including the definition of test cases and the gradual extension of the flight envelope. C/C++ development near the Flight Control stack is a significant plus. Extensive team skills, communication strength and the willingness to take over the driver'seat in projects – very good English and good German skills.
