The production of radioactive products for industry, medicine and research as well as their application produces radioactive residues. The products also reach the end of their use cycle at some point, so that both the residual materials and the products must be disposed of in a regular and professional manner. Who is this demanding task?

The Eckert & Ziegler Umweltdienst GmbH, daughter of the Eckert & Ziegler Group, is in this position. In the awareness of its very great responsibility, the company takes over globally exploited sources of radiation of its own production as well as other materials that are produced as waste when handling radioactive substances, for example in laboratories, production facilities and industrial plants. If possible, these are recycled and returned to the economic cycle. If this is not possible, a treatment for professional disposal takes place. As a service provider in the conditioning of radioactive residues, we have extensive and well-recognized expertise for decades. Processing of radioactive residues ( sampling, sorting, preparation, declaration) Conversion of waste bins and sorting and qualification of waste fractions Provision of radioactive residues for further treatment or transport Container loading and unloading Documentation of all steps in the computer system Performance of tasks of operational radiation protection Operation of wastewater plants including wastewater treatment, sampling and documentation

Complete technical or craft training, e.g. as mechanics, metal builders, plant mechanics or comparable Interest in responsible activities in environmental technology and disposal First experience in waste treatment, decontamination or in technical plant operation Driving licence class B as well as permission to run industrial trucks desirable Very good knowledge of German in word and writing Good application knowledge for MS standard software Ready to make occasional day tours to the outer camp (within the federal state) Reliability and independent and careful operation
