Tasks that keep you posted:

As an IT business engineer, you can expect a variety of tasks together with the Product Owner and the cross-functionally occupied product team. You accompany the entire software development process from the request recording with your stakeholders to the rollout of the software by your team.

Stakeholder Management: You know that a rainy exchange and an open ear are the basis for a healthy stakeholder relationship. You collect all wishes and needs, prioritize them and represent them to your own team and Product Owner. But you can also say “no” if it is within the meaning of REWE and your colleague. You act as a Sparring partner: at eye level, bringing together different interests in a targeted manner. Requirements management: As an IT business engineer, you have an overview of the requirements. You can do this through data and process analyses as well as the corresponding documentation. You critically question existing processes and actively identify potentials for simplification and automation. Agile's work: You support your cross-functional team and in particular your Product Owner in creating and cutting requirements in the form of User Stories and Epics. Interface function: You are the connection between the specialist areas (stakeholders), Process Ownern, Product Ownern and your team colleague:inside. You maintain communication and coordination between all parties. End-to-end reference: The threads run together with you. You accompany the entire development process, supported when needed during testing, keeps an eye on the compliance requirements and supports the Process Owner or the specialist department during the technical acceptance. Operation and Support: You will ensure the operation of the product by creating application documentation and organizing applications. This includes support and user training.

Your proactivity, coupled with your openness for new technologies, makes you work in a solution-oriented manner. In addition, you bring a high service orientation and pronounced communication strength. You bring multi-year practical experience (min. 3 years) in requirements engineering or as a business analyst in software development projects as well as a successfully completed study of (economic) informatics, business management or a comparable qualification. You have a conceptual and analytical approach in request management, basic technical understanding and experience in agile working methods (e.g. Scrum, Kanban). You understand not only as a translator:in requirements, but as a driver:in: You keep topics actively together, bring structure into complex contexts and sorgst for consistent implementation. In doing so, you will be able to keep your eye on experienced stakeholders, question critical requirements and set clear priorities in terms of product success. You work hands-on, take responsibility along the entire development process and never lose the focus on concrete results. Ideally, you know how to use tools like Jira and Confluence, bringing you experience in SQL as well as in the business process modeling (e.g. UML/BPMN); an IREB CPRE FL certification is a plus. You are enthusiastic about the world of trade and ideally have knowledge of relevant business processes – especially in category management or adjacent areas such as purchasing, action plan or assortment control. You are interested in new technologies, in particular AI, and you recognise potentials to make and automate processes more efficient. Very good German and good English skills complete your profile.
