Research assistant Senior Consultant (m/w/d) at the Faculty of Aerospace Technology at the Institute of Flying Systems in Fighting Aircraft Missions (Deferred to the 13 TVöD Group) at the next possible time, first sought in full or part-time for 2 years (option for extension according to the science-time contract law). The Chair of Flight Mechanics and Flight Management of the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering researches in the field of Human-AI cooperation in aviation. A focus of the observations lies in the achievement of manned-unmanned missions in which the pilot of the manned platform (e.g. combat aircraft) leads several unmanned vehicles (warms) out of the cockpit of the manned platform and uses them for mission performance. To this end, a project-financed doctoral position (third party) on the subject of collaborative swarms is to be occupied.

You take over the design, development and implementation of algorithms for the flexible grouping, guidance and use of drone swarms with different skills in combat aircraft missions. You apply AI methods for tactical behavior generation You develop a suitable human-machine interface for commissioning the different teams of Schwarn You actively develop the fighter simulator You integrate their developed functionalities into the fighter simulator You perform human-machine experiments in the simulator and evaluate their developed functionalities by You support the presentation of research results, their publication in relevant journals and conferences, as well as the acquisition of third-party funding. You perform administrative organizational and administrative tasks in teaching and research
