In the clinic for nephrology, patients with peritoneal dialysis (bulent membrane dialysis) are comprehensively supervised in an outpatient and stationary manner. As one of the largest peritoneal dialysis centres in Berlin, the clinic offers a highly specialized care with clear processes and close connection between outpatient and stationary areas. In the outpatient area, the focus is on patient clarification, surgical organization and structured training for patients and relatives. In the stationary area, the focus is on consulting, training and the preparation and support of PD catheter implantations.

Use in the professional ambulance of peritoneal dialysis and renal high pressure; independent care and guidance of outpatient and stationary patients for performing peritoneal dialysis with common systems (e.g. vantive, Fresenius) assistance in stationary therapeutic-diagnostic interventions (OP support PD catheter systems; Assistance in interventional PD catheter repositioning) Home visits in the context of outpatient treatment care and support of the stationary dialysis team in the clarification and evaluation of patients for PD Safety and documentation of treatment quality (recovery of complications, quality assurance) Organisational / administrative tasks: scheduling, speaking time assistance, participation in accounting documents Implementation of infusion therapies
