Senior Cyber Security Expert with a focus on development (m/w/d)

As a primary digitization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, safe and efficient IT services in Germany and abroad, from basic operations to the field close to the application and thus contribute to the continuous increase in the leadership and operational capacity of the Bundeswehr. With over 7,000 colleagues, we operate and modernise one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. We are looking for responsible IT specialists who are convinced that the Bundeswehr-IT will further develop in challenging digitalization projects and thus contribute to Germany's security. Together with us, you are worried about the future digital capability of the Bundeswehr. Senior Cyber Security Expert (m/w/d) from now on and in full time in Bonn, Frankfurt, Cologne, Meckenheim or Rheinbach. The Protect & Detect Security Operations department focuses on ensuring a stable, secure and SLA/OLA-compliant operation of the associated security services. In the Advisory Management department, vulnerability reports and security-relevant messages for the systems and components used are analyzed, evaluated and the units concerned are informed. As an interface to other operating units of the BWI, it ensures close and partner cooperation, in particular with the central emergency management and other departments, e.g. the Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) and the Security Operations Center (SOC).

Construction and development of scan infrastructures and automated penetration tests including the integration of continuous vulnerability scans and reporting mechanisms Expansion of client monitoring according to current IT security and data protection Best Practices Working with hybrid infrastructures consisting of clients, private cloud environments and classic infrastructure (virtualized/dedicated hardware) and the associated tools with the focus on seamless integration, security optimization and scalability Combination and further development of tools for editorial and scanning vulnerability information Exchange with other organizational units to develop new ways of gaining knowledge on the topic

Completed study or comparable qualification with relevant professional experience At least 5 years of practical experience in performing penetration tests including automated test infrastructures alternative to defensive security, vulnerability management and security processes

Experience with client, container, cloud, server and network security Knowledge of basic BSI protection and ISO 27001 Certification(s) in the field of IT security desirable Programming or scripting skills of advantage readiness for national missions (about 1x in the quarter) Flowing German and English skills
