The Childhood-Haus Heidelberg is an outpatient and interdisciplinary point of contact for children and adolescents affected by sexualized and/or physical violence and neglect. The aim of the Childhood House is to carry out all necessary investigations, consultations and surveys in a child-friendly environment in a timely and trauma sensitive manner. In child-friendly areas, affected children and young people can be examined in one place by a specially trained medical team from child protection and legal medicine and can be interviewed by the criminal police and judicial authorities in criminal investigation. Social teachers advise and accompany the children and young people as well as their relatives throughout the course.
