RESEARCH ASSISTANT in the field of machine learning and wireless networks

At our site in Wachtberg we are looking for a SCIENTIFIC*IN IN THE AREA OF MACHINES LERNEN AND FUNKNETZWERKE The Department "Information Technology for Management Systems" (ITF) researches, develops and tests innovative solutions for information processing in complex management processes. Our research focuses on architecture, interoperability solutions and information evaluation for distributed, heterogeneous management and decision support systems. The aim is to provide information superiority for its own forces and to support the Bundeswehr, authorities and civil security organisations as well as critical infrastructures in this way. • Research and development of machine learning methods for optimizing multi-agent systems in the field of DIL networks (Disconnected, Intermittent, Limited)
• Application and adaptation of current ML technologies, e.g. to improve the cooperation of MARL agents
• Integration and evaluation of the developed solutions in our realistic testbed (e.g. with military control systems, tactical routers, cross-layer components)
• Close cooperation in the team - and at the same time free space for your own ideas and creative solutions

What you bring

• A successfully completed study of computer science or a related subject
• Good knowledge of machine learning / artificial intelligence (e.g. PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow, MLFlow, WandB)
• Interest in network communication and modern system architectures
• Joy of research-related development and prototyping
• Good knowledge of German and English in word and writing You work autonomously, creatively and solution-oriented and bring your ideas into the team.
