Software Developer Controlling (m/f/d)

At the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen Foundation Public Law – Department of Finance and Controlling is at the next possible time a place as Software Developer (m/d) – Paying group 13 TV-L – in full time (part-time suitable). The place is first terminated for 2 years.

You develop and maintain the internal management and reporting system from application level to server operation: (Further) Development and maintenance of the application: Conception, implementation and testing of new functions in the Python/FastAPI backend as well as in the template-based frontend (Jinja, HTML/CSS/JavaScript) data management: modelling, maintenance and optimization of the PostgreSQL database; Structure and support of interfaces to internal and external data sources Operation and Administration: Responsibility for server setup, updates, deployment, backups, monitoring and troubleshooting (Linux environment) IT security and data protection: protection of the application and infrastructure (including authentication/SSO, access concepts, curing according to recognised standards) in consultation with the competent authorities Translation of technical requirements into sustainable technical solutions Documentation of application, data models and operating processes Evaluation, selection and adaptation of AI/language models

Completed academic studies with a detectable reference to data or computer science, e.g. (economic) informatics or data science, or other employees with equivalent skills and experience obtained elsewhere Finded knowledge in Python, ideally with a web framework (e.g. FastAPI, Flask or Django) Experience in dealing with relational databases (SQL, preferably PostgreSQL) Basic knowledge of web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) Experience in the administration of Linux servers (deployment, operation, maintenance) Very good German knowledge of Word and Writing (C1) desirable: a solid understanding of IT security and data protection Self-employed, structured work Very good German knowledge of Word and Writing (C1) Analytical and solution-oriented action High cooperation and team skills High AI affinity and experience in the application and adaptation of AI or language models Experience in the field of higher education or administration and in controlling and reporting
