As a press expert, you contribute to shaping the communication of our work as an ore diocese of Freiburg inward and outward. You write press releases on current topics and projects You create and maintain Q&A documents, language regulations and press briefings They prepare interviews, press appointments and measures of crisis communication in terms of content and ensure their follow-up The evaluation and analysis of media coverage in the context of media monitoring is also one of your tasks They are competent and targeted at the content and technical coordination of press conferences as well as media briefings and documents For journalists, you are the first respondent to standard requests and background calls. In the function as deputy director of the unit and deputy/r CvD, bear responsibility for the smooth running of the newsroom Situativ take over the role of the spokesperson on selected topics and represent the positions of the Archdiocese of Freiburg in the public

A completed academic degree programme – ideally in the field of communication – or journalistic volunteer or comparable training Relevant professional experience is desirable A secure sense of language and media as well as a sovereign appearance in the public Impressed communication strength in handling internal and external responses Identification with the aims and values of the Catholic Church
