System Administrator - Focus on Internal Mail System & Microsoft 365 (m/f/d)

Our team is responsible for a central platform for communication and cooperation with a strong focus on Microsoft 365 and ensures stable, secure and performant operation of business-critical services. In this role, you take a central responsibility for the operation and further development of our Microsoft-365-based services and our mail infrastructure. You ensure that our communication platform is operated stable, safe and performant - both in the cloud and on-premises. You continuously manage, operate and develop our hybrid mail systems (Exchange On-Premises & Exchange Online). You design and optimize mailflows, routing and transport processes for reliable and efficient communication operations. You analyze technical requirements in the enterprise environment and implement them in a targeted manner. You develop and evaluate our Microsoft-365 platform in conjunction with existing infrastructures and enable the use of new technologies in the Microsoft-365 environment. You advise specialist areas in the selection and use of modern communication and collaboration solutions. You identify optimization potentials in existing systems and processes and implement appropriate improvement measures.

You are professionally broad and have a well-founded experience in the Microsoft-365 environment. At the same time, you have a deep understanding of classic mail infrastructures and know how You work in modern platforms. You have not only “Exchange Online Made” but also understand the context behind it – from SMTP, DNS, SPF, DKIM and DMARC to mailflow and DNS to hybrid scenarios. You have deep knowledge in the operation of Exchange Online and experience with Exchange On-Premises. You bring a sound understanding of mailflow, mail routing, DNS, MX records as well as email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and hybrid mail architectures. You have experience with mail-relay scenarios and internal and external delivery mechanisms. You have experience in designing and implementing solutions in the enterprise environment. You are characterized by a structured, analytical and self-responsive operation. You are able to understand, evaluate and improve complex technical relationships.
