Head of Product Control (m/w/d)

The Bundesgesellschaft für Endlager (BGE) is looking for a site for a high-radioactive waste end storage facility and is building the Konrad end storage facility for low- and medium-radioactive waste. The BGE keeps the Morsleben end camp open until shutdown and plans to recover the radioactive waste from the Asse shaft plant. The BGE is a federal company in the department of the Federal Environment Ministry.

They take responsibility for the high level of responsibility for product control of radioactive waste (approximately 32 employees), lay down the objectives and make decisions on policy issues They are responsible for the release of process qualifications for the conditioning of radioactive waste, container authorisations and waste bins for final storage They represent the high standards of product control in discussions with applicants and authorities They provide quality-secured, time- and cost-oriented processing of the application procedures and define the requirements and test standards The continuous development of the organization and processes as well as the development of corresponding product control requirements are also part of your tasks You report directly to the management

They have a degree in engineering or natural sciences; preferably in the fields of chemistry or physics or a comparable subject (master or diploma degree) You have extensive knowledge of the product control process and know the competent authorities and participating companies You have several years of professional and management experience in the field of radioactive waste management High communication and management skills as well as sovereign appearance are of course for you You are convinced Solution orientation, decision-making and enforcement readiness to use, resilience and willingness to travel to the necessary extent a cooperative, participative and value-assuring leadership style with the ability to inspire people, bind and win for necessary change processes
