Engineer for the Client Representation at the Port Railway

The unit of technical cross-sectional topics ensures that the port railway infrastructure is technically reliable, efficient and sustainable. We accompany construction and infrastructure projects with concern of the port railway and ensure that the railway standards are complied with.

Our heart beats for the Port of Hamburg, which connects us! You take over the role of builders' representatives and tax infrastructure projects with concern of the harbour railway as a representation of interests from planning to completion. You coordinate approval procedures, agree with authorities and negotiate technical requirements as well as line crossing agreements. You monitor budgets, create project documents, and perform regular reports for all transferred projects. You accompany acceptances of the projects you supervise and tax the transfer to the company.

You have a degree in civil engineering or transport (Dipl.-Ing. / M.Sc.) or comparable knowledge and skills. In-depth knowledge and many years of practical work experience in planning, tendering and awarding complex construction projects, you also bring experience in project management. You know the relevant technical regulations, regulations and procurement and work safely with supporting specialist software. You are familiar with knowledge in the superstructure, in signal engineering and overhead management as well as ground-based foundations. You work independently, target-oriented and keep track of complex projects. Negotiating skills, enforcing ability, and a cooperative approach to all parties are yours. You are willing to take responsibility for meeting dates, budgets and quality standards.
