Backbone support & operation: You take over the patch and release management of our POS systems, adapt automation solutions (e.g. Bash scripts) and plead them. Analyze and correct errors in running POS devices and provide technical support for the Kassenhardware (Cash Desk 2.0 and previous versions). Engineering & Distribution: You develop and maintain operating system images for POS devices, create and maintain Linux-based distributions for cash use and take care of the packeting and distribution of software components for Cashdesk 2.0. You integrate system-related functions into the existing POS infrastructure and ensure stable operation through quality assurance and testing. Technical commissioning & rollouts: You support the initial operation of new generations of devices and accompany hardware rollouts and migrations. Management & Coordination: You work closely with internal areas of expertise and external service providers, supported at home openings in the field of cash infrastructure and accompany projects in the POS environment (e.g. hardware rollouts, migrations). Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: You're puggling with technical documentation in Confluence and Jira, making it a state of knowledge. Optimization & further development: You are actively working on the planning and implementation of technical POS strategies to continuously develop the cash box infrastructure.

Your path of education: You have completed training, study or bring comparable qualifications in the IT field. Your strengths: You work structured, solution-oriented and reliable, quickly find approaches to technical challenges and have a high analytical capability. Your profile: You bring well-founded knowledge in Linux system administration and can implement automation (e.g. shell scripting). POS experience: You have experience in the operation of POS hardware and software as well as their technical support. Software distribution & Patchmanagement: You have knowledge of patch and release management as well as software distribution and package management. Project Management & Communication: You have project management skills, you like to work in the team and convince by your communication strength.
