Internship in the field of Cost Engineering High Voltage System Integration from September 2026

Comprehensive cost assessment: We carry out detailed cost analyses to ensure the cost-effectiveness of our products. Benchmarking activities: Through continuous benchmarking with competitors and market leaders, we identify best practices and potentials for reducing costs. Cost optimization proposals: We develop and present innovative proposals for cost reduction and efficiency enhancement. Trend and technology monitoring: We are constantly watching the market for alternative drive trains and new technologies to identify trends and developments early on and integrate them into our new product projects. Role in the development process: The position of the Cost Engineering is extremely diverse and exciting across the entire development process as well as the ongoing series production of series projects. We actively contribute to the successful implementation and further development of new technologies in the field of high-voltage systems and ensure that our product projects remain economical. Your duties in the internship: Support in coordinating and implementing benchmarking activities in the field of new technologies and high-voltage systems Analysis, derivation and documentation of piece lists and premises in cooperation with experts from development and cost planning Creation of technology and production overviews for identifying optimization approaches Research on cost points of components and preparation of input factors for the costing of target costs Participation in project management, especially in the preparation of presentations and moderation of workshops Support in implementing digital tools (e.g. Power BI, Power Apps, Python) as part of the AI strategy of the Benchmarking Division Working with Idea Management Initiatives and using AI-based methods to improve benchmarking processes

Study programme Electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or comparable study programme Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing Interest in e-mobility, alternative drives and the production of electronic components, preferably in the automotive industry Good knowledge of cost calculation methods and willingness to further methodological development Very good knowledge in handling MS Office as well as experience with digital tools such as Power Apps, Power BI and Python Commitment and team skills Analytical thinking, strategic working and quality awareness
