The subject area “Networks and DMZ” is responsible for the operational IT security in KBA. The central task is the implementation and compliance of the BSI's IT security requirements. The aim of the task is to implement the BSI minimum standard “Protocoling and Detection of Cyber Attacks”. Relevant is: Identification, categorisation and analysis of safety-related incidents and events Risk assessments of cyber security and effective communication of results to technical and non-technical target groups Taking preventive measures to increase IT security and optimal response to current threats A complementary task is the provision and operation of a KBA-internal AI ecosystem to optimize everyday life with the targeted use of modern AI technologies.

This includes: Selection and use of suitable software components (UI, LLM, Inference Server) Perception of the interface to the specialist administration and the departments Optimization of the AI ecosystem for mapping the KBA’s use case For both tasks: Continuous development and adaptation of infrastructure and application in the changing threat situation and modern AI trends

You should bring this with you: Successful university degree (FH Diploma, Bachelor) in the field of IT-Forensics and cybersecurity or a comparable degree or successful completion of a recognised IT-training in combination with proven practical experience in IT-Forensics and cybersecurity projects or in AI-operation and projects. This distinguishes you: You have good knowledge of current security technologies and best practices, attack/use methods, current operating systems, network technologies and protocols as well as bash and python scripting. You offer key competencies in the field of IT-Grundschutz. Practical experience in operating SIEM infrastructures, system administration and network operation, operating system administration (Windows, Linux, Solaris), AI hosting, LLMs, RAG and inference servers as well as in optimizing the system prompts of AI models complete your profile. At best, you can present certifications in the IT security environment (CompTIA Security+, (ISC)2 CISSP, CEH or A) and in ITIL or are ready for appropriate internal and external training measures. You work independently in their own work area and show initiative for appropriate solutions. You are able to weigh, evaluate and build a wide range of related factors and to derive a potential solution. You are resilient and remain calm in stress situations. Your ability to work together makes you a real team player. You have a good planning and organizational capability and the ability to actively pass on your knowledge within your responsibility and ensure the flow of information for all stakeholders. You combine a rapid understanding with analytical thinking and the ability to develop professionally and overly as regards their own tasks. If necessary, you are able to implement your ideas or existing requirements in the vicinity of your work area. The German language will certainly dominate you in word and writing (at least comparable to level C1 CEFR). Your profile is complemented by good English skills in word and writing (at least comparable to level B2 CEFR).
