You are responsible for our Linux infrastructure in a challenging industrial environment. Take care of ensuring the operation, compliance and security. You work on bug fixes, adjustments and updates of Linux systems and also use automation solutions. You carry out ongoing modernization projects (e.g. RHEL8 to 10). You administrate our Linux VDI environment based on Enterprise solutions. You shape the direct future of our Linux-based infrastructure, as well as the related IT infrastructure. You also evaluate the dynamic use of cloud resources. You communicate directly with contact persons and key users of various departments and coordinate your own tasks and projects.

You have several years of professional experience in a comparable position, know company structures and processes and ideally have completed studies in the field of computer science. You can control Linux systems safely and routined, especially RHEL-based distributions such as Red Hat, Rocky or CentOS and have your skills if necessary. also proved in certifications such as RHCE or LPIC. You have well-founded practice with services and technologies such as Samba, NFS, Kerberos, LDAP, Active Directory. You don't like unnecessary hard work and recognize the right time to put on automation (Puppet/OpenVOX, Ansible, Terraform...) You make your choices with a focus on sustainability and scalability and your concepts and ideas rewrite technologically both onprem systems and the use of cloud resources. You have high sensitivity for high availability, downtime, dependencies and risk assessments and are also reliable under time pressure. You have a broad IT know-how beyond the Linux area, in particular in areas such as hypervisor, storage, backup, network. You work independently, structured and use target-oriented spaces of action; at the same time, you are convinced by clear, constructive communication in the team and in cooperation with internal and external partners.
