SAP S/4HANA Migration and Digitization (focus at start) Active cooperation in the MPG-wide migration project SAP S/4HANA as a pilot institute: Analysis of existing processes, Test of the new SAP master template Close cooperation with the General Administration of the MPG, external project partners and other pilot institutes coordination and technical control of the institutional project contributions; Interface between finance, purchasing and third-party funding Documentation and quality assurance of the redesigned financial processes in the SAP S/4HANA environment Financial and accounting (after incorporation) Management of financial accounting (FI) according to principles of regular accounting (GoB) and according to the accounting policies of the MPG Establishment and monitoring of the annual budget; Creation of monthly, intermediate and annual accounts Monitoring of internal audits and external auditors Monitoring of payment transactions Technical and organisational management (perspective) Heading and further development of the Financial Area with currently five employees, incl. Travel costs of the Institute Planning, control and monitoring of the overall budget of the Institute Advising directors, management and scientific group management in budgetary, financial and tax matters Close cooperation with the management and other fields of administration (personnel, purchasing, third-party department/ EU office, International Office) and the field of scientific and technical coordination (construction department, workshops)

Professional qualifications completed university studies (Bachelor/FH or Master) of the business administration, accounting, management or a comparable subject; as an alternative successfully completed training as an accounting officer with relevant professional practice Multiannual professional experience in financial and accounting, ideally in a research institution, university or publicly funded institution Knowledge of the public sector's budgetary, grant and tax law (ideally MPG rules) Funded SAP knowledge (FI/CO); Experience with SAP S/4HANA or proven willingness and ability to work in S/4HANA are expressly desired Secure handling of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and ideally SAP (FI/CO); Knowledge of data analysis and evaluation Good knowledge of English in word and writing (scientific working language) Personal competencies High self-initiative, structured and solution-oriented operation Joy in shaping change processes and digitization projects Communication strength and enforcement ability in dealing with science and administration Reliability, discretion and loyalty Team orientation and cooperative leadership style, experience in leadership of teams are of advantage.
