Add new features and improve the efficiency, stability and performance of the software components of our storage stack You work with the development of new kernel drivers – from concept phase to implementation to deployment strategy You prepare newly developed components for open source release and inclusion in the mainline kernel You contribute to upstream kernel drivers (RNBD/RTRS, Block Layer, RDMA etc.) and participate in corresponding mailing lists and discussions You program, document and publish software according to the latest, industrially proven development processes
You have at least 4 years relevant professional experience in kernel/operating system development You have deep knowledge of the Linux operating system, Kernel-Interna and corresponding development environments You have excellent knowledge of C programming and debugging as well as knowledge and experience in Python and Bash You have experience in developing the Linux Kernel and/or its modules You bring practical experience in one or more of the following areas: Kernel Block Layer, distributed block devices, RAID-based replication, RDMA programming You have a strong ability to independently learn and solve problems, team skills and active cooperation to achieve common goals
