ZEISS Microoptics is a unit of the Photonics & Optics strategic business unit specializing in the development, optimization, mastering, replication and integration of optical applications based on micro-optical and holographic optical elements. With the newly founded Aerospace business unit, we expand our business areas and look for a motivated and committed project manager (m/w/x). In this role, you are responsible for coordinating and planning projects in the field of aviation technology, including monitoring timetables, budgets and resources, taking over the following further tasks:

Responsibility for technical communication with customers to understand their requirements and expectations and to ensure that they are taken into account in the projects

Cooperation and learning of the scientific and technical foundations, also through direct and independent laboratory work

Organisation and implementation of regular project meetings on progress monitoring and problem solving.

Ensuring compliance with aviation standards and requirements in all project phases.

Identification of risks and development of risk mitigation strategies.

Promoting an open and transparent communication flow between internal teams and external partners

Become part of a growing interdisciplinary team and introduce your expert knowledge to realize new products for aviation and create added value for our customers.

Successfully completed studies in the field of aerospace technology, as an alternative in physics or optics/photonics or laser technology

Insufficient professional experience in the project management in the aerospace sector as well as sound technical understanding in the fields of optics, photonics, microoptics

Very good experience in technical customer communication and as well as more confident in dealing with the various stakeholders

Self-responsive and targeted working, including in the team, supplemented by a pronounced customer-oriented appearance

High technical affinity supplemented by high self-motivation to continuously expand your own skills and skills on scientific and technical topics

Excellent communication in German and English for stakeholder management and readiness for regular national and international business trips
