We are one of the most successful initiatives against youth unemployment in Germany. Since 2008 we have been supporting young adults with difficult starting conditions with our three programs PLAN A, JOBLINGE and basecamp on their way to training and profession.

To date, we have accompanied more than 37,000 young people in our programmes. In the JOBLINGE program, 80 percent of the participants, with our support, create a leap into working life – often after years of unemployment and unperspectiveness.

At more than 30 locations across Germany, nearly 300 colleagues work together with more than 2,700 volunteer mentors and over 4,000 partner companies across Germany to open new perspectives for young people. For our partner companies, we are at the same time an important building block for skilled workers.

How can you get into JOBLINGE?

The joy of work is as important to us as success. We hope, of course, that you will be the same with us. With these tasks you can also contribute your part to our mission: You coordinate and accompany the acquisition and recording of new participants and inform the young adults in workshop formats or individual discussions about the JOBLINGE program and the recording process. You coordinate, design and conduct the program in workshops and trainings as well as in group reflections and individual discussions with the young people. You support and advise the participants in career orientation, career field selection and application. You work with the young adults, identify their strengths, create and document individual development plans for the participants. You start learning plans, structure workshop phases and implement workshops on labour market and vocational training topics. You deal with social-pedagogical problems of the participants, who are in the way of entry into training. You acquire and train volunteer mentors as well as participants in the respective tandem of mentor*in and participants. You plead the contacts with public-speakers, including the transfer of the respective group starts and the fulfillment of the contractually agreed tasks to reporting. You develop new workshop formats and adapt existing content to changes and needs of participants and the labour market. You develop your own project ideas.

Personality and team fitness are particularly important to us and we are looking forward to getting to know you in the application process. We would be happy if you already brought some of these hard facts: We require the following qualifications and experiences: You have a successfully completed study (Social Work, Social Education, Education, Social/Communication Sciences or Comparable) and an at least two-year relevant professional experience that matches our work.

In addition, we are happy to bring you the following: Ideally good knowledge of the German training and labour market as well as experience in working with young people with and without fleeing background. Courage to try out new things, as well as an independent, solution- and result-oriented way of working and enjoying working together in the team. Joy in working with different target groups, strong communication strength and a safe occurrence in dealing with decision-makers. You are willing to advance changes in the transition system together. You have the courage to try out new things, can work independently, as well as solution-oriented and result-oriented and work constructively in the team. You have a safe and sovereign appearance, as well as presentation security inside and outside and recognize the needs of different target groups. You have experience in working with methods of activation and motivation and bring passion for working with young adults. You are a coordination and organizational talent and experience conflict and crisis management.
