The European XFEL GmbH is a non-profit international research organization in the Hamburger Großraum. It operates a 3.4 km long X-ray laser that produces X-rays of unique quality and provides these researchers from all over the world for a wide range of scientific experiments. The work areas include physics, chemistry, biology, medicine, material sciences and other research fields. For our Procurement group we are looking for Junior Procurement Officer (m/d)

Purchasing of goods and services under public procurement law (VGV and UVgO) issuing orders below and ideally also above EU thresholds Evaluation of offers and price negotiations Processing of invoices/ confirmations of order and invoice processing clarification of invoice deviations Support of the procurement team and takeover of other purchase-relevant tasks as required

Complete university studies, preferably in business administration or a comparable field of qualification Training and/or further training in commercial disciplines (business management or the like) Public procurement experience Knowledge of public procurement procedures and laws Ideal experience in foreign trade and customs Ideally knowledge of ERP systems and the use of electronic procurement platforms Flowing German and English (read and write)
