In this position, you take on diverse and responsible tasks in the field of industrial legal protection and work closely with different disciplines. Advising the business units on all issues relating to patent and design law, including strategic and contractual issues Processing of invention applications, carrying out research and elaboration of patent applications Support and implementation of national and international patent applications Implementation of the Employee Invention Act Implementation of patent research and monitoring of foreign rights in the respective product area elaboration of freedom-to-operate analyses, enforcement of proprietary rights and procedures relating to third-party intellectual property rights Local travel to other ifm locations

Complete engineering or natural science studies, ideally with the field of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science or physics, with interest interdisciplinary topics Multiannual professional experience as a patent professional (m/w/d) in an industrial patent department or a patent attorney law firm as well as willingness to become a patent attorney (m/w/d) or European Patent Attorney Senior Consultant (m/w/d) and/or European Patent Attorney Good knowledge in the field of computer-implemented inventions Practical experience in using IP-specific AI tools Knowledge of foreign patent systems, especially the USA and China German and English language skills in word and writing Fast conception and self-employment Communication and negotiation skills as well as team-oriented cooperation in complex projects for joint achievement Good understanding of economic relations
