Head of the Service IT department (m/f/d)

Strategic development of the Service IT department in close coordination with the academic leadership and stakeholders of the university Ensuring continuous IT operation of all infrastructure and platform services including Personnel and Budget Responsibility General responsibility for planning and lifecycle management of client and server infrastructure for teaching and research Responsibility for the implementation and further development of an information security management system (ISMS); Implementation of technical and organisational protective measures in cooperation with the IT security officer Representation of the University of Applied Sciences for nationwide digitalization initiatives, in particular projects of the Bavarian Digital Network (DVBY) in cooperation with the scientific management Control of external service providers: tendering, contract negotiation and SLA monitoring Software Asset Management (SAM): License Strategy, Compliance and Cost Optimization within the Responsibility Area

Successfully completed scientific studies in (economic) informatics or in a related subject Enhanced knowledge of methods and experience in network and system development Multiannual professional and management experience in an operational IT field, combined with an understanding of complex technical relationships Embossed Analytical Thinking Power, Own Initiative, Communications and Team Skills as well as a sovereign appearance and flexibility willingness to supervise IT trainees; Training (AdA) desirable Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing
