Engineer*in Tree Protection and Building Sites Do you want to take responsibility for the preservation and development of the urban trees and work at the same time at the interface to exciting construction projects? For the protection of our city trees: You will first provide technical opinions on building, trasssing and excavation applications and evaluate them with regard to tree preservation and tree protection. You accompany construction projects with a view to tree protection: You control the compliance of tree protection pads both during the planning phase and during the construction design and ensure that requirements are consistently implemented. You take responsibility for damages and violations: You're working on overriding damage to trees, preparing measures to violate violations of the tree protection system and taking appropriate steps in case of material damage. You actively develop the trees: you identify suitable locations for new trees and check them technically to sustainably strengthen the urban tree population.

You have a completed degree as an engineerin or a bachelor/master degree in landscape architecture, nature conservation and landscape care, forestry or environmental sciences, arboristics, geography or in a comparable course of study. Ideally, you have additional qualifications such as certified tree inspectorin, European Tree Worker or specialist farmer*in tree care, owns the license class B and have professional experience in relevant areas such as landscape planning, tree care, horticulture or building management. You are familiar with the assessment of tree damage and tree diseases and have ideally experience with the KOCH method as well as in the tree control according to FLL or VTA. You can safely handle standard software, document complex processes reliably and convince by a precise and targeted way of working. You bring a high level of sense of responsibility – especially with regard to safety-relevant issues – and you always work carefully and reliably. You identify yourself with the topic “Stadtbaum”, appear binding and communicate clearly and addressably. In doing so, you bring negotiation skills, enforcement skills and team skills.
