Quality Management Officer (w/m/d) The Quality Assurance Officer in Simulator Operations is an airworthy management function within the contracting entity's operational organisation. It is directly assigned to the accountable manager of the customer organization and monitors compliance with the regulatory requirements and the conformity of the operating procedures with the applicable aviation regulations. The function requires well-founded aviation expertise and regulatory expertise, but does not have any disciplinary or professional power of instruction. The Quality Assurance Officer in Simulator Operations shall objectively identify, evaluate and address deviations and deficiencies and ensure their effective tracking. A sovereign and diplomatic appearance is necessary in order to successfully integrate into the organizational structures of the client and to ensure a trusting cooperation with all parties involved. In addition, the Quality Assurance Officer in the Simulator Operations represents the operating organisation competently with respect to the Accountable Manager as well as the competent aviation authorities and acts as a professionally recognized contact person in all regulatory and compliance-relevant issues.

The holder of the body shall take over an airworthiness management function within the contractor’s operating organisation in accordance with AMC1 ORA.GEN.200(a)(6). Monitoring and assessment of compliance with airworthiness legislation (EASA) and derivation of necessary measures. Planning, implementation and follow-up of internal audits as well as monitoring of regulatory audits. Further development, maintenance and monitoring of the compliance management system including audit program, manuals, processes and forms. Advice and support of the departments and the accountable manager in the regulatoryly consistent implementation of operational requirements. Cooperation with aviation authorities, internal departments and external service providers as well as participation in Safety-Gremien (Safety Action Group, Safety Review Board). Continuous analysis and optimization of operations as well as training and workshops on compliance and regulatory issues.
