The MDR is looking for a lawyer data protection (m⁠/⁠w⁠/⁠d) at the Leipzig location for the broadcast data protection officer. The Radio Data Protection Officer is an independent supervisory authority at the interface between public broadcasting and data protection which, instead of the respective national data protection officers, performs the supervision of the national broadcasting institutions, the ZDF and Deutschlandradio and their joint institutions and joint ventures. Its tasks, responsibilities and powers derive from the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Media State Treaty (MStV). Processing of supervisory complaints and reported data protection incidents Legal cooperation (research, examinations) with the broadcast data protection officer with regard to all applicable statutory tasks (§ 31l MStV, Art. 57 GDPR) Implementation of data protection audits Examination and clarification of data protection issues and problems Observation of legal developments (e.g. court decisions, legislative proposals, publications of the European Data Protection Committee and the Data Protection Conference) Cooperation in the preparation of the annual activity report
