We carry out scientific investigations with the aim of investigating support and the preparation of criminal investigations for criminal proceedings. Responsible planning, design, development, coordination and monitoring of AI solutions in criminal-technical biometrics with a focus on DNA analysis, in particular: Analysis and evaluation of existing processes and derivation of automation and optimization potentials through AI and data-driven tools Implementation of pilots and accompanying sustainable implementation in the organisation Interface management between IT, departments and management; comprehensible communication of the benefits and functioning of the AI applications Acquisition of subtasks in establishing a network for AI competences and need-oriented training of employees of the department The willingness to design flexible working hours is assumed for the following reasons: missions, as planned by national and international cooperation occasional: about 3 – 5 times a year Length of service trips usually up to one week Germany and abroad

Completed academic degree (university degree, magistrate or master) in the field of applied computer science, artificial intelligence, data science or a comparable technical and data-oriented study programme focusing on AI or machine learning An at least 2-year experience in the development and application of AI methodology, machine learning, data analysis and current tools and frameworks (e.g. Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit, Keras) An at least 2-year practical experience in the design and/or implementation of AI projects or data-driven applications On top You provide a basic understanding of legal requirements (especially EU AI Act), data protection, risk assessment and ethical implications when using AI solutions. You bring a basic understanding of business processes and their transformation through new technologies. You have the ability of analytical thinking and a high degree of self-initiative.
