Engineer Noise Protection - Expert Opinion / SoundPLAN (m/f/d)

For more than 20 years, MODUS CONSULT has been advising expert municipalities, public and private construction and process providers as well as private investors in the areas of traffic planning, environmental planning, urban planning and free space planning at the locations Karlsruhe and Speyer. We are a member of the FGSV, support the Deutschlandstipendium and engage in teaching at the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences. When adopting planning services, feasibility studies and project management, we are responsible for planning in the context of climate change and resource conservation and are competent consultants in municipal planning tasks. The market presence is regionally shaped and extends to the South German region.

You will develop sound technical reports and studies for projects in the areas of traffic, commercial and leisure noise, as well as for noise rehabilitation programs. With the help of SoundPLAN and GIS you carry out sound engineering calculations as well as on-site measurements and create precise noise forecasts. You coordinate your projects in the interdisciplinary team and advise customers such as municipalities or the road building management on noise reduction and action plans. You prepare your results in meaningful reports and present them in a comprehensible way to clients and authorities.

You bring a university degree (Dipl.-Ing. / Master o. Bachelor) in civil engineering, geography, traffic planning, environmental engineering, environmental engineering or related studies with You are familiar with the planning requirements for the responsibilities of municipal infrastructure, railway and road construction You have professional experience in the field of sound engineering studies/reports from all types of noise as well as noise rehabilitation and noise reduction planning You have knowledge of legal provisions in the field of noise, noise protection and noise action planning You have experience in handling the software SoundPLAN and GIS You are competent in customer consulting and are interested in versatile planning tasks You work exactly, structured, systematically and responsibly and draw your attention through good communication skills and team skills
