Number: MER000413S In the 12V battery development department of Mercedes‐Benz AG, we are looking for support in the further development of an existing battery cell model and in the construction of a simulation-based test environment. The aim of the work is to develop an existing cell model professionally and functionally, to couple it with a virtual ECU (vECU) and to build a simulation environment that allows the feature test cases to be reproducible and automated. The focus is on SiL-related tests, the evaluation of battery features and the early protection of functions in the virtual environment. Deep insights into cell modeling, functional development and virtual backup
Application of modern simulation and test methods in the automotive environment
These challenges include: Analysis and further development of an existing battery cell model
Connection of the cell model to a vECU (functional and signal level)
Building a simulation environment for virtual backup
Implementation and execution of feature test cases in the simulation
Evaluation and documentation of the simulation results
The activity can begin from June 2026.
Studies in engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, vehicle engineering or comparable
Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing
Basic knowledge of simulation, modelling and software development
Programming skills (e.g. C++, MATLAB/Simulink, Python) of advantage
