The DFS secures the sky over Germany in the high-level order of the Federal Republic. Frictionless processes on the start and land epists and taxiways at the airports as well as sufficient distance between the aircraft in the air are in our responsibility and passion. Our air navigation and radar technology determines the exact position of the aircraft, the most modern communication technologies produce the direct wire between the air traffic control and the cockpit. Whether it's a reliable technical infrastructure, an exact radar technology or an excellent communication technology, they ensure that these processes seamlessly interlock.

You can study at the Darmstadt University for seven semesters – interrupted by a practical semester in the technical fields of the DFS. During your studies, you will acquire a wide range of basic knowledge in mathematics, physics, electrical and high-frequency technology. Then deepen your expertise in communication technology with the focus on air navigation technology. In the lecture-free period you will gain valuable practical experience in one of our branches. In the practical phases, you can secure the sky over Germany with reliable radar and navigation technology together with our experts.
