THE ROLE & THE TEAM As a Health & Safety Manager*in, you contribute to ensuring that work, health and fire protection are sustained at our site. Together with your team, you will ensure smooth and secure processes and strengthen the health and safety culture at our location and support your safety lead at the location on all major topics. Make sure that we fully meet the statutory requirements for occupational safety, health protection, fire protection and environmental protection. Work closely with our professionals for occupational safety.

Advise our managers and employees in all aspects of occupational safety, health protection, fire protection and environmental protection, for example in the reorganization and reorganization of jobs and processes.

Create evaluations and reports on key safety indicators and, in close coordination with your management team, initiate prevention measures to achieve measurable goals.

Maintain cooperation with the professional association as well as with local authorities, the fire department, the company doctor and the works council.

Work with the organisation of initial workers' training, fire protection and clearing workers.

Be an interface and contact person for cross-departmental projects and represent the safety department at important events such as the ASA meeting.

You have successfully completed your technical studies or a comparable training with a technician, engineering or master degree. You have a qualification as a specialist in occupational safety (according to ASiG) and you have first experiences in the field of Health & Safety.

An embodiment for fire protection application is advantageous, but not absolutely necessary.

You can safely apply safety laws, regulations and guidelines.

You keep up with innovations in the field of occupational and fire protection and are looking forward to completing additional qualifications in the field of HSE Immission Protection Officers, Hazardous Agents, etc.) together with Zalando.

You take responsibility for your tasks and independently identify new challenges. With high readiness and flexibility, you develop proactive ideas to optimize processes and strengthen our security culture.

You use software, apps and web tools securely and are looking forward to deepening your knowledge in dealing with Google Workspace.

You are strong in communication and pass on your knowledge in a comprehensible and adapted to the knowledge level of your colleagues. Your good knowledge of German and English in word and writing simplifies communication in the team and across department boundaries.
