Project Manager Events in Public Space (m/w/d)

Over 190 employees of the FWTM are employed for the Freiburg and the region. Our tasks include economic and tourism promotion, trade fairs and congresses, the operation of event houses and the implementation of major events. The FWTM is responsible for developing the Freiburg site to ensure the attractiveness of the city for citizens and guests. The Markets & Events department plans, organizes and conducts major events in public space as well as at the measuring station on behalf of the city of Freiburg, organizes its own events and advises third-party organisers in the city. The Münstermarkt is also responsible for the Markets & Events department. To strengthen our team in the Markets & Events department, we are looking for a project manager event in public space (m/w/d).

Strategic development of public space event formats from idea to implementation Responsible participation in the planning, organisation and implementation of the “My Freiburg Marathon” Control of FWTM's participation in the research and development project FreiburgRESIST including retrieval and detection of funding Planning, controlling and accounting of budgets Coordination of project partners and care of event-related networks Optimization and further development of event-relevant processes Cooperation with other departments of FWTM (Messe, Marketing, Tourism) Working in the project team of the department Markets & Events (total portfolio)

Completed studies in event, sports or cultural management or comparable qualification Multiannual experience in project and event management Knowledge of the handling of safety concepts and urban approval procedures Affinity for sports and Sports events and/or art and cultural events Conceptual and networked thinking, strong team and communication skills Time flexibility, structured and careful operation, safe occurrence
