The SOS-Kinderdorf e.V. is a renowned aid organisation and a free, non-profit institution of child and youth assistance with 38 facilities throughout the federal territory and around 5,200 employees.

The SOS-Hof Bockum (in the district of Lüneburg) is an institution of the SOS Kinderdorf e. V. for the social and professional integration of adult people with mental disabilities. For about 100 people there are differentiated forms of housing and work opportunities in the recognised workshop for disabled people.

In the SOS-Hof Bockum we are looking for a Senior Consultant (m/w/d) in parttime (30 hours/Where)

We provide assistance for people living in their own housing. Our work is based on the individual needs, goals and life plans of clients. We do not understand assistance as “supply”, but as professional support for self-determination, participation and quality of life. She expects a team of 6 colleagues in which not only work, but also work together, is reflected and supported. In addition to the individual case work, space and time for professional exchange, collegial advice and further development remain conscious.

Your tasks include: You enable and promote the participation of clients in social and social life You accompany activities, appointments or projects that strengthen social contacts, leisure design and integration You help to structure everyday life and meet challenges together You provide assistance in financial matters (e.g. orientation, organisation, handling of documents) You support social-law issues (e.g. requests, correspondence, government contacts – within your tasks) You accompany clients in health issues and help coordinate care and appointments You act attentive, responsible and professional – especially in sensitive observations or situations You adhere to internal standards, protection concepts and document relevant aspects professionally correctly You are conscientiously implementing the protection of property

You have a degree as a state-approved educator*in or a comparable educational qualification in the nursing or assisting field You meet clients at eye level – regardless of limitations, life history or behavior.
