CI/CD- & OS-Engineer (m/f/d)

With a clear focus on reproducible builds (based on Nix) and fast feedback cycles, you drive the setup and operation of our CI/CD pipelines and automate build, test and deployment – from cross compliance to software update on the robot. From deep kernel configuration to final system integration, you are responsible for maintaining and curing the embedded Linux operating system on our ARM-based target platforms. For a future-proof device fleet in the field, you control the boot loader as well as the boot chain, implement reliable over-the-air updates (OTA) and ensure system security, secure update mechanisms and a secure software-supply chain. As a technological enabler for all development teams, you provide a stable, high-performance infrastructure and continuously optimize our tools and workflows for a first-class developer experience. To continuously increase platform stability, you are proactively analyzing complex build, system and infrastructure problems, so that the development process is running smoothly at any time.

A successfully completed study in the field of computer science, electrical engineering or a comparable technical STEM discipline forms the solid theoretical foundation of your expertise. Thanks to your well-founded experience with embedded Linux on ARM platforms as well as the safe handling of Yocto/BitBake and Cross-Compilation, you are confident in complex system architectures. Driven by an enthusiasm for automation, you want to make our development teams more productive through a smooth infrastructure. In your technological tool case, you will find excellent knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g. GitLab CI, Jenkins), reproducible builds with Nix, Scripting (Bash, Python) and containers (Docker) as well as sound know-how about boot loader, kernel, drivers and OTA updates. Through your structured, quality- and safety-conscious work, you take a high degree of self-responsibility and connect with all development domains thanks to your distinct interface competence.
