Application Architect & Lead Developer S-Messenger (m/f/d)

We are looking for an Application Architect & Lead Developer S-Messenger (m/w/d) in full time for our location in Halle (Saale). Communication is more than just messaging today — it is a central part of modern customer relationships. With the S-Messenger, we actively shape digital communication within the Sparkassen financial group and develop a platform that is used daily by numerous savings banks and their customers. In order to strengthen our team, we are looking for developers who not only write software, but want to actively develop modern communication solutions and to help shape them technically.

Operation, maintenance and continuous development of the S-Messenger Conception, implementation and introduction of new functions and technical improvements Analysis, refactoring and modernization of existing software components to increase quality, performance and durability Application operation support including deployment, monitoring and automation of processes Participation in the design and development of technical architecture and technological standards Close cooperation with development, business and specialist areas to implement technical and technical requirements

Knowledge of PHP and Node.js as well as experience in the development and development of applications Practical experience with Linux (Ubuntu Server), Docker, Docker Compose, Ansible and Bash Experience in refactoring existing systems and in the use of automated tests Good understanding of predictable, scalable and stable software architectures as well as established best practices and architecture plans Ideally knowledge in other programming languages such as Python, C/C++, C#, Rust or Go Interest in modern technologies, in particular container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm), KI and Agentic Coding
