Our client is an owner-managed medium-sized family company in Cologne and market leader in Northern Europe in its segment. In the course of further company development, we are now looking for a designer (w/m/d) with experience in the design of aluminium parts or solar protection systems.

You have a technical training or study in the field of mechanical engineering / construction technology and have been able to gather several years of professional experience in the field of facade construction, window construction, door construction or shading or related areas?

You design and develop components taking into account various manufacturing processes and accompany them to prototype construction You develop products taking into account electrical components You plan, coordinate and accompany tests and tests including evaluation and documentation You organize the construction of prototypes and support their implementation You perform product training and present technical content according to target groups You work closely with internal specialist departments such as project management, production and purchasing and agree with external suppliers during the project

You bring a successfully completed technical training or a degree in mechanical engineering/construction engineering or a comparable qualification with You bring several years of professional experience in the industrial environment, preferably with a manufacturer in the field of shading, shutters, facade construction, door construction or sun protection You have ideally experience in the construction of aluminium and/or sun protection systems (e.g. winter gardens, terrace roofs or glazing solutions) You are versed in handling common CAD systems, ideally Creo You have an analytical and structured way of working, bring a high degree of initiative and creativity together and are able to work quickly into complex relationships.
