Supplier: Teaching and research area Developmental psychology and research methods The teaching and research field of development psychology and research methods investigates change processes in behavior and experience about the human life span. Our working group focuses on the study of affective and motivational proce in adulthood. In addition to empirical work, which build in particular on the collection and analysis of intensive longitudinal data (e.g. outpatient assessments, experience sampling), a research focus is the further development of statistical methods for the analysis of (intensive) longitudinal data. In teaching, our research group is involved in the Bachelor's degree program Psychology and Master's degree program Psychology in the subjects of development psychology, research methods and pedagogical psychology. From 01.10.2026 we are looking for a scientific assistant (w/m/d). The RWTH is certified as a family-friendly university. Your profile Expected: Very good university degree (master or comparable) in psychology or a related discipline Very good completed doctorate in psychology or a related discipline Very good statistical and methodological knowledge, as well as knowledge of the statistical package R Pre-experiences with advanced methods for analyzing longitudinal data Proven experience in teaching in the fields of development psychology and pedagogical psychology Experience in the supervision of Bachelor and Master Psychology Experience in the independent implementation of research projects by means of outpatient assessment (self-expenses, cognitive testing, passive detection by means of sensors) Experience in applying for competitive third-party funding (e.g. DFG or ERC) Publication on topics of development psychology of life span in peer-review Journals Very good English skills in word and writing You are ready to participate in the “ Teachings at the RWTH” of Excellent Academic Teaching at the Center for Teaching and Learning Services (CLS). The employment is in the employment relationship. The body shall be occupied at 01.10.2026 and shall be permanent. It is a full-time job. The grouping depends on the TV-L.
